Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to products and services supplied by Certified Communications Pty Ltd ("Certified Communications", "we", "us", "our"), including purchases made through our website and work performed under a quotation. A written quotation or service agreement may include additional terms specific to the engagement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

1. Products and Services

We supply telecommunications and networking equipment and provide related services, including antennas, cabling, mobile coverage systems, Starlink and satellite systems, installation, configuration, fault finding and technical advice.

For installation work, the agreed quotation or work order sets out the scope, inclusions, assumptions and any specific deliverables.

2. Quotations, Orders and Payment

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. They are based on the information and site conditions available when prepared. If the scope, product requirements or site conditions change, we will discuss any necessary changes to the price or schedule before proceeding.

All amounts are in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Any applicable GST, delivery charges and other fees will be identified in the quotation or at checkout.

Online purchases are payable at checkout. For installations and other services, payment is due on completion unless the quotation or an agreed invoice states different payment terms.

Work outside 6 am–6 pm Monday to Friday may attract higher rates. Any applicable after-hours charge will be communicated before the work is undertaken, except where a separate agreement already sets the rate.

3. Variations and Additional Work

Work outside the agreed scope may result in additional charges. We will explain the proposed variation, including any material price or timing implications, and seek approval before proceeding. Where unexpected site conditions affect safety or the feasibility of the work, we may pause and discuss the available options.

4. Site Access and Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide reasonable, safe access to the work site and accurate information relevant to the job, including known hazards, existing infrastructure and site restrictions. Work may be postponed or stopped if conditions are unsafe.

Customers must have authority to approve the work and arrange any property-owner, landlord, body corporate or other permissions within their responsibility. We will identify specialist or regulatory approvals required for our work where reasonably practicable, including approvals relevant to telecommunications equipment.

5. Equipment, Installation and Performance

Some products require suitable power, backhaul, compatible equipment, correct configuration or approval from a telecommunications carrier. Installation requirements will depend on the product and application.

Radio signal strength, coverage, throughput and satellite performance can be affected by terrain, buildings, interference, network conditions, customer equipment and other external factors. Any specific performance commitment must be recorded in the agreed quotation or service documentation.

For supply-only purchases, installation is not included unless expressly stated. Information or estimates we provide do not remove any consumer guarantee relating to product descriptions, fitness for a disclosed purpose or the provision of services with due care and skill.

6. Delivery, Ownership and Returns

Dispatch and delivery arrangements for online purchases are described in our Shipping & Returns Policy. Delivery estimates are indicative; problems with non-delivery, loss or damage in transit will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, ownership of goods remains with Certified Communications until payment for those goods is received in full. This does not restrict statutory consumer rights.

Returns, refunds and manufacturer warranty claims are managed under our Shipping & Returns Policy. We do not generally accept change-of-mind returns unless approved in writing.

7. Workmanship Warranty

We provide a voluntary 12-month warranty against defects in our installation workmanship, commencing on completion of the relevant work. If a workmanship defect appears during that period, contact us with your invoice or job details and a description of the issue. We will assess the claim and rectify workmanship defects covered by this warranty at no charge.

We will meet the reasonable costs of investigating and rectifying a valid workmanship claim. If you incur agreed expenses in making a valid claim, contact us with receipts to arrange reimbursement. This warranty covers our workmanship rather than faults caused solely by later unauthorised changes, misuse or unrelated third-party equipment, subject always to your statutory rights.

Warranty claims may be made using the contact details in Section 11. The warranty operates in addition to, and does not restrict, any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Consumer guarantees may apply to both individual and business customers. Manufacturer warranties and our workmanship warranty are additional to those guarantees.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and
  • to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Goods are also subject to applicable consumer guarantees, including remedies for defective goods. No manufacturer warranty period, service warranty period or other provision of these Terms removes those rights.

9. Rescheduling and Cancellation of Services

Please contact us promptly if an appointment or agreed work must be rescheduled or cancelled. Charges for completed work, specifically ordered materials or reasonable costs already incurred may apply where agreed and permitted by law. Any refund or remedy required by the Australian Consumer Law will be provided.

10. Responsibility and Limitations

We take reasonable care in supplying goods and performing services. We are not responsible for faults caused solely by unauthorised modification, customer misuse or unrelated third-party systems, except to the extent we caused or contributed to the problem.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any additional allocation or limitation of liability for a particular commercial project must be expressly agreed in writing and comply with applicable law

11. Contact and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable Australian law, including the law of the relevant state or territory. Any dispute will be handled subject to applicable consumer protection and jurisdictional requirements.
